Suzuki motorcycle dealers across the country are right now receiving their first stocks of Suzuki’s long-awaited new enduro machine – the 2010 RM-X450ZLO.
And it’s been worth the wait! Based on the all-conquering fuel-injected RM-Z450, this enduro version features effortless electric start and a lighting kit. Other changes from the harder-edged motocross version are aimed at making this machine a more manageable package, whether you’re into trail riding, cross-country or enduro events. At the same time it retains the RM-Z’s awesome performance and handling.
Suzuki says this bike fills a gap in the market for a serious electric-start enduro machine, and sees it as a logical progression from the ever-popular DR-Z400 trail bike.
With a curb mass of just 123kg the RM-X450 provides super-sharp handling, while the 6.2 litre fuel tank provides a useful range for a long day’s riding fun. Electronic Fuel Injection ensures easy starting and provides precise fuel metering, delivering a broad power band and eliminating “bogging” that can plague carburetted engines.
Suzuki has a proud history of producing fun, reliable and desirable off-road bikes, going back to the early PE two-stroke series of the late 70’s. The all-new 2010 RM-X450ZL0 continues the legend, and with a wickedly sharp $12,995 price tag, Suzuki dealers have a bike that leads its class in more ways than one.
